Delegation from the U.S. Embassy Visits the Aqaba National Vocational Training Hub
The Director General of the National Employment and Training Company received a delegation from the U.S. Embassy at the Aqaba National Vocational Training Hub, headed by the Embassy’s Economic Counselor, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in the field of vocational training and to review the key challenges facing this vital sector in the region.
During the visit, the Director General briefed the delegation on the role of the National Employment and Training Company in training and qualifying Jordanian youth to meet labor market needs. He presented an overview of the company’s training programs and the mechanisms used to design them in alignment with market and private-sector demands. The delegation also toured the Hub’s modern facilities and equipment and commended the high quality of training services and the company’s continuous efforts to support the vocational training sector as a cornerstone of Jordan’s economic and social development.
The Director General emphasized the importance of this visit in opening new avenues for cooperation with the U.S. Embassy to develop and launch training programs that enhance employment opportunities for Jordanian youth and support national efforts toward achieving sustainable economic development.
At the conclusion of the visit, the U.S. delegation expressed its appreciation for the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the Hub’s programs and facilities, praising the company’s role in empowering Jordanian youth and preparing them for the labor market with competitive skills.
