As part of national efforts aimed at strengthening the vocational training sector and equipping it with competencies capable of meeting labor market demands, Dr. Abu Rumman emphasized the pioneering role of the National Employment and Training Company through its advanced laboratories and specialized programs that align with the needs of the Jordanian market. This came during his visit to the Aqaba National Vocational Training Hub, which is considered an advanced model of applied training and effective partnerships with the private sector, making it an ideal environment for preparing youth and enabling them to enter the labor market with modern and in-demand skills.
Dr. Abu Rumman pointed out that the National Employment and Training Company operates with high efficiency through its training labs, which train young people in all professions required by the Jordanian labor market. He noted that what distinguishes the company is its use of modern technology in both theoretical and practical training.
He stressed the importance of the Hub in translating the government’s vision to expand vocational training and link its outputs to market needs, underlining the necessity of supporting such initiatives that contribute to reducing unemployment rates and empowering youth.
Dr. Abu Rumman also highlighted that the Hub represents a model training environment in terms of program and specialization diversity, as well as active partnerships with the private sector, ensuring real job opportunities for graduates and equipping them in line with the requirements of modern professions.
For her part, Eng. Noor Mubaidin, Director of the Aqaba National Vocational Training Hub, presented an overview of the training programs and future expansion plans for developing technical specializations. She affirmed their continued commitment to updating training curricula and providing qualified trainers according to the highest standards.
She added that the Aqaba National Vocational Training Hub is one of Jordan’s pioneering projects, officially inaugurated under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II in June 2025, to serve as a national center of excellence in equipping youth with vocational skills and enhancing their opportunities in the labor market.
