The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) announced on Tuesday the inclusion of the Aqaba National Vocational Training Complex (ANVT Hub), affiliated with the National Employment and Training Company, into the global UNESCO-UNEVOC network specializing in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). This step reflects the advanced level achieved by Jordanian vocational training institutions.
The announcement was made during the inauguration ceremony of 15 new centers from different countries joining the UNEVOC network. The complex represented the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan among the newly accredited centers, becoming one of 250 vocational education and training centers and institutions worldwide within the international network.
This membership represents international recognition of the efforts made by the National Employment and Training Company in developing the vocational training system, enhancing the quality of training programs, and empowering youth with modern skills aligned with labor market needs, in accordance with international best practices and standards.
